Sushant Singh Rajput’s family challenges CBI report

The family of late Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput has decided to challenge the CBI closure report related to his death case.

According to Indian media, Sushant’s family says that the report released by the agency is incomplete and misleading. In March 2025, the CBI concluded that Sushant Singh Rajput had died by suicide and found no evidence of any crime, provocation, or financial wrongdoing by his former partner Rhea Chakraborty or her family.

The report mentioned that from June 8 to June 14, 2020, the actor was living alone in his Bandra flat, and during that time Rhea or her brother Showik did not meet him.

However, Sushant’s family has rejected the CBI findings, saying that the investigation was not done properly. Their lawyer, Advocate Varun Singh, said that if the CBI really wanted to find the truth, they should have collected all the evidence such as chats, technical data, witness statements, and medical records.

The family also claimed that the report did not include bank statements, digital records, and other key evidence. The case will be heard in the Patna court on December 20, where the family will officially challenge the report.

It is important to remember that Sushant Singh Rajput, who played the role of cricketer M S Dhoni in the film M S Dhoni, was found hanging in his apartment. His family insists that he did not commit suicide but was murdered as part of a conspiracy.
