Senior Bollywood actor Kamal Haasan has said that Shah Rukh Khan’s National Award win for the film Jawan is an honor that was long overdue.
According to Indian media, Kamal Haasan congratulated Shah Rukh Khan on social media platform X for winning the National Award after 33 years in the industry. He also sent congratulatory messages to Vikrant Massey and Rani Mukerji.
After spending 33 years in the film industry, Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan finally won his first National Award for his performance in the film Jawan at the 71st National Film Awards. Many senior actors and friends from the industry filled social media with congratulatory messages, and Kamal Haasan also shared his happiness.

Shah Rukh shared the Best Actor award with Vikrant Massey, who won for his performance in the film 12th Fail. Rani Mukerji won the Best Actress award for her role in Mrs Chatterjee vs Norway.
Kamal Haasan also congratulated Vikrant Massey and Rani Mukerji. He wrote that 12th Fail was a masterpiece and deeply impressed him. He congratulated both Vidhu Vinod Chopra and Vikrant Massey for the achievement. Kamal Haasan and Shah Rukh Khan had worked together in the 2000 film Hey Ram. It was Shah Rukh’s debut in Tamil films. The film was written, directed, and produced by Kamal Haasan.

As for upcoming films, Shah Rukh Khan will next be seen in the movie King, directed by Siddharth Anand. The film also features Suhana Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Jaideep Ahlawat, Abhay Verma, and Saurabh Shukla in important roles.
Reports also say that Deepika Padukone, Jackie Shroff, and Rani Mukerji might be part of the cast, but it has not been officially confirmed.
Kamal Haasan will be seen in S Shankar’s film Indian 3 and in the sequel to Nag Ashwin’s Kalki 2898 AD, which also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, and Prabhas in lead roles.
