Bollywood and Tollywood actress Shruti Haasan has called working with superstar Rajinikanth a pleasant and fulfilling experience.
Shruti appears alongside Rajinikanth in the film “Coolie.” She shared that she came to know Rajinikanth in a way quite different from his usual public image.
Speaking about her experience working with Rajinikanth, Shruti appeared on YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia’s podcast, where she discussed spending time with the superstar on the sets of Coolie.
She said, “My father Kamal Haasan and Rajini Sir are the two pillars and faces of Tamil cinema.”
Shruti explained that although she knew Rajinikanth only from the public’s perspective and many people assumed she grew up around him, the truth was that she only ever knew him as a superstar. Getting to know him closely during the shoot was, according to her, “an interesting and wonderful experience.”
She further added that Rajinikanth has a unique personality—he is very wise and intelligent, yet also kind-hearted and cheerful.
“Talking to Rajini Sir was amazing and uplifting. He is incredibly friendly and has absolutely no ego. He always brings positive energy to the set, and everyone who works with him is genuinely happy to be around him,” she said.
Shruti Haasan’s Upcoming Projects
In the film Coolie, alongside Shruti Haasan, the cast includes Nagarjuna Akkineni, Upendra, Soubin Shahir, Sathyaraj, and Aamir Khan. Pooja Hegde will also make a special appearance in a song.
Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, Coolie is one of the most highly anticipated films of 2025.
Recently, the directors released a black-and-white photo announcing that Aamir Khan will play the role of “Daha” in the film, in which he appears wearing jeans and a vest, smoking a pipe.
Additionally, reports suggest that Shruti Haasan will reprise her role in Prashanth Neel’s film Salaar: Part 2 – Shouryanga Parvam.
