Former actress Zarnish Khan, who left showbiz for Islam, expressed anger over the way some transgenders celebrated Independence Day. She called the actions of the LGBTQ community vulgar and inappropriate.
On Instagram, Zarnish shared a short video showing members of the LGBTQ community wearing outfits in the colors of Pakistan’s flag. They were dressed in green shirts and white trousers while posing for pictures at an event.
She expressed disappointment over such public activities and raised concern. In the same video, some people could be seen posing in half-male and half-female styles. Zarnish called this vulgarity and questioned what was happening in Pakistan.
She further asked why no one was stopping these people from openly spreading indecency and whether this was the meaning of freedom. She also criticized the mixing of patriotism with sexuality, saying it made no sense.
Many fans agreed with her statement in the comments and demanded action against such activities. Most social media users supported her view that transgenders should not be allowed to behave like this openly in society.
Earlier, fashion designer Maria B also shared a video of an inappropriate party organized by transgenders in Lahore and questioned the government about how permission was given for such an event. After her video went viral, Lahore police took action and arrested some people involved.
