Actress Zhalay Sarhadi openly shared her views about Maria B and said she does not like her because she makes controversial videos to gain popularity.
Zhalay recently appeared on the FHM Podcast where she discussed feminism, women’s abilities, and different social media personalities.
She explained that feminism does not mean hating men. According to her, feminism means giving women equal rights based on their abilities and hard work, not deciding their pay or position based on gender.
She added that whether a woman chooses to stay at home or pursue a career, both are part of her right to choose and this is also linked with the idea of feminism.
While praising Mishi Khan, Zhalay said she makes good and sensible videos on social media but also pointed out that it is not necessary to speak on every topic.
The actress criticized Maria B for mostly making negative videos that create a poor image of Pakistan at the international level. She said Maria B deliberately talks about controversial issues because she believes this will make her popular.
It is important to note that fashion designer Maria B often talks about topics like homosexuality and transgender rights. Currently, she is also facing action from the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) over claims of an inappropriate party held in Lahore.
