Arshad Warsi calls Circuit from Munna Bhai MBBS a ‘stupid’

The Leading Indian actor Arshad Warsi termed his urban character ‘Circuit’ as stupid. He said I did Muna Bhai MBBS only because of Sanjay Dutt.

The movie Muna Bhai MBBS was released in 2003 and was a super hit at the box office. In the movie, Sanjay Dutt played the role of Murli Prasad Sharma aka ‘Muna Bhai’ while Arshad Warsi played the role of Sarkishore Sharma aka ‘Circuit’.

Both the roles in the film directed by Raj Kumar Hirani were super hits.

Arshad Warsi also received the Filmfare Award for this outstanding performance. He also showed the essence of acting in the sequel of the film ‘Lage Raho Mana Bhai’ in 2006, but now 19 years later the actor has revealed that the role of Circuit was stupid. Had it not been for Sanjay Dutt in the film, I would not have accepted him at all.

In a recent interview, the actor said, “I did Mana Bhai MBBS only because of Sanjay Dutt. Raj Kumar Hirani also knew that the role of Circuit is stupid. This role was also mentioned by Makrand Desh Pandey.”

Arshad Warsi said that apart from the main character, there is the power of the script of the film, which tells him whether to accept the role or not.

He said I listen to the script as a listener, then I think what would I like to see? It could be a genre or something that viewers would like to see.
