After footage of an altercation with his brother surfaced. Singer Bilal Saeed said he was “deeply saddened” that fans had seen him. But did not intend to support or promote the violence.
On social media site Instagram, Bilal Saeed has shared a video of his house. In which belongings are scattered in various places while the vandalism in the house is also clearly visible.
Bilal Saeed wrote in the post that “This is just a glimpse of what I have suffered. I never spoke about it. People should know that being famous is not a privilege but in fact, can be problematic sometimes. I believe in bodily autonomy and safety for all. Violence against anyone whether man or woman is wrong. But It is my right to protect myself and my loved ones. If I am physically and verbally harmed and threatened. I am not proud of engaging in a physical fight. But I am only human and it was a reaction to all the torture I suffered. I am sorry that my fans had to see this side of me. I do not intend to support or promote violence.”
After the video went viral on social media and trending, Bilal Saeed defended himself on Twitter, saying, “Everyone has the right to live with dignity and security, regardless of gender.” I am a believer in peace but I also believe in maintaining boundaries, when peace is repeatedly affected by someone when security and self-esteem are repeatedly affected. So, unfortunately, you have no choice but to react.
It should be noted that in Lahore, there was a quarrel between well-known singer Bilal Saeed and his brother over a personal matter. A video of the altercation also surfaced.
