After the buzz that Salman Khan’s ‘Kick’ created at the box office, moviegoers it seems have taken a relaxed approach towards Akshay Kumar’s ‘Entertainment’.
A film starring Khiladi Kumar and Tamannaah Bhatia, ‘Entertainment’ is a slapstick comedy film directed by director duo Sajid-Farhad. ‘Entertainment’ released on August 8, 2014 and according to news report has been able to make Rs 43.69 crores so far.
The film opened to a decent response at the box office when on the first day itself it was able to make Rs 11.16 crores. The response slumped on Saturday but a good word of mouth helped the film regain audiences on the first Sunday. The opening figures of the film stood at a good Rs 36.69 crores.
‘Entertainment’ was facing stiff competition from Salman Khan’s ‘Kick’ that was released three weeks ago. ‘Kick’ that was released before the Eid holiday continues to break records and now has surpassed overall earnings of Hrithik Roshan’s ‘Krrish 3’. According to reports in media, Kick broke the lifetime collection of Krrish 3 i.e Rs 224.69 crore net to become the biggest box office spinner of 2014.
With Ajay Devgn and Kareena Kapoor’s ‘Singham Returns’ releasing this Friday, let’s see how much money Akshay’s ‘Entertainment’ makes at the box office.
