<p>Experts found that after just two months, the activity of many genes associated with inflammation and high blood pressure in such people decreased. These genes include NAMPT, IL6, IL1B and NLRP3, which are usually activated during times of stress on the body.</p>

<p>Similarly, another analysis of overweight and obese adults found that daily consumption of quinoa juice for several weeks resulted in small decreases in systolic blood pressure and increases in high-density lipoprotein (HDL), often called good cholesterol.</p>



<p>Although these changes are modest, even modest improvements in blood pressure and cholesterol can make a meaningful difference if maintained over many years.</p>
