Indain  film and television actor and director Karan Johar  has once again proved himself a very successful director. His film ‘Samba’ has crossed Rs 350 crore business in two weeks. Main and leading role in the film has been performed by Ranwir Singh so the film has made the image of both the personalities very high.  The director Karan started his career as a director with the film ‘kuch kuch hota hay’ in 1998. This film earned the Awards of ‘Best Director’ and ‘Best Screenplay’.

Johar also directed dramas which were very successful. One of these dramas, ‘My Name is Khan’ won second Film fair Award for the best director. In addition to these he produced several success films which introduced him as a talented director in the showbiz world.Karan Johar was born in Mumbai to Indian film producer Yash Johar owner of Dharma Productions .Karan received his education at Green lawns High School and attended H.R. College of Commerce and Economics., Mumbai.Karan started his career in showbiz industry as an actor .He performed the role of a child in a drama serial of Indian Television Door Darshan.Karan,in addition to his professional activities also cares his family members.Nearly two years ago he became father to twin children, one boy and one girl, in a hospital in Mumbai. As regards Johar’s profession, he also took interest in other branches of the showbiz and remained very successful. He hosted radio and television talk shows, Johar’s joined the industry as an assistant director. to Aditya Chopra’s film ‘Dilwaly Dulhania Le Jayenge in 1995 which remained very successful .After that he directed the film ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’ in 1998. Main part of the story of this film revolves on a college  love triangle.The film Best Film, Best Director and several other awards. Johar is also a renowned actor and producer. He acted with Shah Rukh Khan ,Ranbir Kapur Anoshka Sharma and other actors in  various films.  His work as a producer has been done mostly under Dharma Productions which was founded by his father Yash Johar and after father’s death owned by him. In addition to work as a director, he produced several films which were directed by other directors.
