PEMRA Banned Repeat Telecast Of Famous Dramas.

PEMRA: (for enlightened readers).

PEMRA basically is an independent and constitutionally establish federal institution. Which is responsible for regulating and issuing channel licenses. And also for establishment of the mass media culture, print. And electronic media. PEMRA’s principal objectives are to facilitate. And also regulate the private electronic mass-media industry. However to improve the standards of information, education and entertainment.

Its constitutional mandate is to enlarge the choice available to the people of Pakistan. Including news, current affairs and also religious knowledge. Also including art, culture, science and technology. On 28 June 2018 after the Supreme Court’s order Saleem Baig was appoint as the Chairman of PEMRA.

Banning of two famous dramas:

The Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA). Therefore announce to ban the repeat telecast of two most popular drama serials. Which are ARY Digital’s Ishqiya and Hum TV drama Pyar Ke Sadqay.

The reason behind the ban is that the content of the dramas is against the teachings of our society. However both of these dramas cannot have repeat telecast even on the ARY Zindagi or Hum Sitary as ordered by PEMRA.

In the issued notice, PEMRA announce that they have receive complaints against drama serial Jalan. And they are looking on this matter. Most of the complaints are about the main storyline. Which is against our morals and there are many complaints by the audience against this drama.

The dramas which have end. However cannot repeat as telecast as it announce by PEMRA. At the end of the notification, and has warn the channels to make dramas according to the values of our society. Otherwise the dramas will be ban without any warning.
