Salman Khan’s ‘Bigg Boss’ banned in Pakistan?

It seems the tensions between the Pakistani and Indian entertainment industries are set to continue. Following the furore of Indian political parties banning Pakistani artists to work in India, it appears Pakistan is now retaliating by curbing Indian-based content on its media channels.

The latest victim of this entertainment war will be Salman Khan’s upcoming reality show ‘Bigg Boss 10’ which is unlikely not to be aired to Pakistani viewers. The show will see the return of Khan on the small screen, but despite Khan’s recent pro-Pakistan stance it appears his fan-base there won’t be able to witness his magic.

Salman Khan joins the growing list of prominent celebrities being affected by the tensions including Karan Johar, Mahira Khan, Fawad Khan and Shah Rukh Khan.

It remains to be seen how and when the ‘war’ will abate but in the meantime both industries are being dragged into the political stand-off.
