Senior actor of Pakistan showbiz industry Rashid Naz has passed away at the age of 73 years.
Rashid Naz’s son Hassan Noman also says his father has been ill for some time and was being treated at a hospital in the federal capital Islamabad.
Hassan Noman says that Rashid Naz’s funeral prayer will be offered at Faqirabad Eidgah at 3 pm.

Rashid Naz was born on September 9, 1948 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He has acted in countless films and dramas.
In 1971, he also started his television career as an actor in Pashto drama.
Rashid Naz has also acted in several Pashto, Hindko and Urdu language dramas. His first Urdu drama was Ek Tha Gaon which was aired in 1973. His first popular play was Namos. He also acted in Pakistan’s first private television drama ‘Dasht’.
In 1988, he showed the essence of acting in his first Pashto film ‘Zama Jang’.
His first Urdu film was Syed Noor’s Dakit. He also acted in Shoaib Mansoor’s film Khuda Ke Liye.
Rashid Naz also worked with Iman Ali in Shoaib Mansoor’s popular video song ‘Ishq Mohabbat Apna Pan’.
Rashid Naz’s famous films include Karachi to Lahore, Varna, Khuda Ke Liye and others.
He has also won the hearts of the audience with his lively performances in other dramas including ‘Khuda Zameen Say gaya nahi h’, ‘Ankar’, ‘Anukhi’, ‘Apne Hoye Praye’, ‘Ghulam Gardesh’, ‘Doosra Asman’, ‘Namos’, ‘Pathar’ and ‘Aan’.
This morning, Rasheed Naz’s daughter-in-law and actress Madiha Naqvi shared a post on her Instagram. In which she reported that actor Rasheed Naz is no longer with us.
She said in his post that “Our dear Baba Rashid Naz passed away this morning. Please recite Surah Al-Fatihah for the reward of the soul of the deceased.”
A large number of fans on social media are expressing their grief and sorrow over the demise of Rashid Naz.
