Web Series ‘Churails’ is Banned in Pakistan.

Demanding to ban churails for its vulgar content

Churails is a 2020 ZEE5 exclusive and Zindagi Original Pakistani drama web series. It is write and direct by Asim Abbasi. Therefore the web series stars demanding Sarwat Gilani, Mehar Bano, Nimra Bucha and Yasra Rizvi in lead roles. It is produce by Asim Abbasi along with Mo Azmi and Shailja Kejriwal. It revolve around Karachi’s secret detectives. Whose mission it is to expose the city’s unfaithful, elite husbands. It became available for streaming on the OTT platform ZEE5 on 11 August 2020.

The series focus on the lives of four women. Sara (Sarwat Gilani), a lawyer that gave her career up to be the “perfect wife”, Jugnu (Yasra Rizvi), a wedding planner, Zubaida (Mehar Bano).

Web series “Churails” banned in Pakistan:

In August the the first Pakistan web series ‘Churails’ under the banner of Zee5 was release and it was an instant hit. All the four leading ladies including Sarwat Gilani, Yasra Rizvi, Mehar Bano and Nimra Bucha became the shinning stars as their acting skills were highly appreciated.


Suddenly they got the spot light. They were invite by many media portals for interviews. People really appreciated the story line and the concept of women empowerment. Some people also raise their concerns about the web series. But over all it was a big hit.

Couple of days ago a monologue form Churails went Viral in which Hina Khawaja Bayat is talking about her way to success which was really not a thing that anyone wants to hear on Television. She said: “I used to give a hand job twice a day to my boss who was 20 years older than me. After this, he gave me a job and after giving several more jobs, he gave me a promotion.”

The clip went viral and the netizens’s demand for banning of the Churail’s was also increase. And quick actions were take as Zee5 has now taken down Churails for Pakistani audience. And also they have banned it in Pakistan.
