The full schedule of the 15th edition of Australia’s famous Big Bash League (BBL) has been announced. A total of 44 matches will be played.
The league matches will begin on 14 December 2025 and continue until 25 January 2026. The good news for cricket fans is that there will be action every night, except on Christmas Eve and during the day on Christmas.
The tournament will begin with an exciting match between Perth Scorchers and Sydney Sixers at Perth Stadium.
What makes the opening match even more special is that Pakistan’s star batter Babar Azam will make his BBL debut. He will be playing for the Sydney Sixers.
Another exciting moment will come when Babar Azam’s team, Sydney Sixers, plays against Brisbane Heat. In this match, Pakistan’s star fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi will also be in action. Shaheen was the number 1 pick in this year’s BBL draft and will play a key role in Brisbane Heat’s fast bowling attack.
BBL organizers have designed this season’s schedule to be more exciting for fans. Each team will play at least one home match within the first 10 days. This step is taken to attract more people to the stadiums and increase TV viewership.
