Top Pakistani actress Sarah Khan recently shared her thoughts about women’s rights in an interview, which led to strong reactions online.
In an interview given to a famous web platform, Sarah Khan said she is not a feminist and supports traditional gender roles.
Sarah said that in her opinion, men should be given the position that is made for them, so that women can live in peace. She said she sees herself as an old-fashioned woman, and she does not like going out and standing in line to pay bills. Her husband can do that. She prefers to stay at home.
She also said that she gives more importance to home life and likes to see a man as a man.
After her statement, the discussion on the internet grew stronger. Some people agreed with her and said Sarah is promoting the right values. They believe that traditional roles bring peace in society and Islam has already given all rights to women, so there is no need for Western feminism.
