Actress Hina Tariq has sparked a new debate on social media by expressing her views on women’s rights, feminism and the role of men.
Hina Tariq, who gained attention for her performances in drama serials Niqab, Na Tum Jaano Na Hum, Naferat and the recent popular drama Rehmat, recently participated in a YouTube show, where she openly discussed modern relationships and the traditional roles of men and women.
Hina Tariq said that she does not like soft-spoken, overly sensitive or ‘poky’ men. According to her, a man should be strong, decisive and independent in a masculine way.
The actress said that she wants her life partner to be responsible, plan, pay the rent, give her flowers and take care of life’s affairs because she, as a woman, wants to enjoy these traditional loving behaviors.
According to Hina, she is financially independent, but despite this, she wants men to fulfill their responsibilities because for a woman, this is the beauty that she gets love, attention and respect.
She added that she also does not like women who try to put themselves in the role of men. According to her, instead of filling the car with petrol, carrying heavy bags or taking care of every practical responsibility herself, she wants men to play this role.
The actress clarified that a woman is a beautiful and delicate creature, who needs love instead of anger. Hina Tariq called it a curse for women to be ‘feminists’.
Hina Tariq’s statements have generated mixed reactions on social media, where some users described her views as close to traditional values, while others considered her a strong stance against modern feminism.
