Once again, with Salman Khan returning as the host, Bigg Boss 19 has raised fans’ expectations for the upcoming season.

Since the makers of the show usually keep everything secret until the last moment, each new season remains a mystery before it begins. However, many rumors are circulating, and people are making guesses about the possible theme and format of the show.

It is expected that Salman Khan will host the show again, and Bigg Boss 19 might premiere in August. A page named Bigg Boss Tak, which shares insider updates, has reported that the new season is likely to air on TV in August 2025.

According to the page, this information is confirmed. The makers are planning to first run the TV version for about three and a half months, and then launch the OTT version afterward. In earlier seasons, the OTT version used to come first, followed by the TV show. Salman Khan may begin shooting for the Bigg Boss 19 promo in July 2025, and the makers might make an official announcement soon.

The basic format of Bigg Boss has always been about 10 to 20 contestants living together in one house, completely cut off from the outside world. The voice of Bigg Boss gives them tasks to compete and save themselves from elimination.

From season 4 onwards, the show started having specific themes. For example, Bigg Boss 7 had a theme of Heaven and Hell. For this new season, it is expected that the theme will be Rewind.

Since season 13, which was won by the late actor Sidharth Shukla, the TRP ratings of the show have not been very strong. So, the makers are now planning to bring back the old charm by bringing in nostalgia.

In Bigg Boss, contestants usually nominate each other, and then the audience votes to save or eliminate them. However, for season 19, reports say that viewers will nominate the contestants, and then a task or some other activity will decide who gets eliminated.

With the Rewind theme and a return to the original Bigg Boss style, only celebrities will be brought in as contestants. There will be no commoners or influencers like in some past seasons.

After season 13, the show had drifted away from its original rules and format. Tasks like the luxury budget, captaincy, and weekly nominations were reduced or removed.

Viewers also noticed that Bigg Boss, who earlier used to speak only during serious matters or rule-breaking, had started interfering too much in the game.

Now, the question is whether the makers will be able to win back the audience’s interest with this new season or not.
