The trailer of the original drama series Shamsheer, based on Pakistan’s national sport hockey, has been released. This thriller web series trailer was launched at a grand event in a local hotel. Many important people from showbiz, sports, and media attended the event.
The main cast of the series, including Farhan Saeed, Hareem Farooq, Behroze Sabzwari, and Omar Alam, were present. The series is produced by Nina Kashif and directed by Shehrazade Sheikh.
Former and current Pakistani hockey players Qamar Ibrahim, Sameer Hussain, and captain Amjad Butt also attended the event, making it more special. After the trailer release, a detailed panel discussion was held about hockey and Pakistan’s cultural heritage, where the country’s identity and memorable moments in hockey were highlighted.
Actor and singer Farhan Saeed, who plays the hero in the web series, said that this series can give new life to the game of hockey. Hareem Farooq said that before this series, she did not know Pakistan had so many achievements in hockey. She appreciated the importance of this series for the sport.
It is important to note that Shamsheer will be released on 13 June 2025. The series will be available on the streaming site Tapmad.
