Humayun Saeed on Adding Pashtun Culture in Love Guru
Humayun Saeed is a very talented and famous actor and producer in Pakistan’s TV and film world. He has many fans on social media, especially on Instagram, where 7.7 million people follow him. Some of his popular TV dramas are Mehndi, Dillagi, Hum Se Juda Na Hona, Tum Ho Ke Chup, Kabhi Kabhi Pyar Mein, Mere Paas Tum Ho, Doraha, Kaafir, Uraan, and Gentleman. Among these, Mere Paas Tum Ho is his biggest hit so far. Now, he is working on two big projects called Love Guru and Main Manto Nahi Hoon.
On May 31, Humayun Saeed went to Peshawar to launch the Pashto song Sada Ashna from his film Love Guru. He met with Pashto media and shared his thoughts about the film and the Pashtun culture.
Talking about the story, Humayun said the film has many love stories, and viewers will have to watch to find out who he ends up with.
He also talked about showing Pashtun culture in the movie. He said that in his past films, he has shown different cultures like Punjabi, Pashtun, and Sindhi. For example, Sarwat Gilani played a famous Pashtun character before. This time, Mahira Khan plays a woman from a KPK Pashtun family. They included a Pashto song in the movie because many Pashtun people all over the world watch Pakistani films. Humayun said adding different cultures is not just good for business but also helps connect people from different backgrounds. When Pashtun viewers saw the trailer, they were happy to see their culture represented on screen.
Overall, Humayun Saeed wants his films to celebrate Pakistan’s rich cultural diversity and bring people closer together.
