Iftikhar Thakur refuses to work in Indian Punjabi films
Popular stage and drama actor and host Iftikhar Thakur has strongly responded to Indian Punjabi showbiz stars. He criticized Indian artists and politicians who give hateful statements. He said that whether it is love or patriotism, one should always stay polite and respectful.
Iftikhar Thakur said that he was the first Pakistani artist to work in Indian Punjabi films and now he might be the last too, because he is officially closing that door.
He said that some Indian artists got upset over one of his statements. He mentioned that Simi Chahal, Diljit Dosanjh, and Amrinder Gill are his friends.
He added that all of them showed displeasure over his words, and he respects them all.
He also said that those who are truly brave always speak to others with respect and dignity.
He pointed out that some people use harsh words and cross the limits of decency.
Iftikhar Thakur said that if his words hurt the feelings of his Indian friends, he is truly sorry. He never meant to hurt anyone.
He clarified that his statement was aimed at war-promoting Indian military analysts, especially extremists like Major Gaurav Arya and General Bakshi.
It is worth noting that Iftikhar Thakur is equally popular in both Pakistan and India and has acted in several Indian films.
In one of his statements, he praised the Pakistan Air Force and addressed Indian warriors, saying that if you come by air, you will scatter; if by sea, you will drown; and if by land, you will be buried.
