Lebanon bans the film Snow White for casting an Israeli actress
Lebanon has banned Disney’s film Snow White because of the casting of an Israeli actress. The country has stopped the release of the new live-action film Snow White in cinemas.
According to international media reports, the main reason for this decision is the casting of Israeli actress Gal Gadot, who plays the role of the Evil Queen in the film.
This decision was made by Lebanon’s Interior Minister Ahmad al-Hajjar after receiving suggestions from the film and media monitoring board.
Local reports say that the ban comes in the background of recent actions by the Israeli army against Hezbollah in Lebanon, which also affected civilians.
Due to the rising tension between Lebanon and Israel, this decision has become even more significant.
It is important to note that Lebanon has also banned Israeli artists or content with Israeli connections in the past.
