Famous Pakistani morning show host and actress Nida Yasir has said that Geo’s hit drama Jannat Se Aagay is very close to reality.
Recently, Nida Yasir shared a painful experience from her own life on her morning show.
In one scene of the drama Jannat Se Aagay, the main character Jannat finds out that her maid and assistant have been stealing from her. She then goes to their house and finds many of her stolen items.
It seems that this scene was inspired by real life, and not just anyone’s life, but actually something that happened to Nida Yasir herself.
Nida Yasir shared that she hired a Filipino maid when her son Balaj was very young.
She said that many people think only Pakistani maids steal and foreign maids do not, but this is not true. Her foreign maid used to steal things from her house.
Nida said that when the Filipino maid completed her two-year contract and was about to go on vacation to her home country, she visited the maid’s house on the last day. There, she found three suitcases full of her household items. The maid was planning to take all those things to the Philippines.
Nida also got back 300 euros that had been stolen from her purse. So, she was able to recover all her belongings.
She added that since the maid had served her family and returned the stolen items, she did not take the matter to the police. However, she informed the hiring agency about the maid’s actions through a formal letter.
In the end, Nida said that people often hire foreign domestic workers thinking they are more honest, but the truth is that they can also steal.
The same kind of scene was shown in the drama Jannat Se Aagay, where the character Jannat faces a similar situation.
