Pakistani actors give a strong response to Javed Akhtar
Pakistani actors gave a strong reply to Indian poet, writer, and lyricist Javed Akhtar after he supported a ban on Pakistani artists in India.
In his recent statement, Javed Akhtar said that he believes Pakistani artists should not be allowed to work in India. He explained that when Pakistani actors come to India, they receive a lot of love and appreciation, but when Indian actors go to Pakistan, they are not given the same respect.
After his statement, Pakistani actress Mishi Khan posted a video on Instagram where she strongly criticized Javed Akhtar for supporting the ban on Pakistani actors in India.
Speaking directly to Javed Akhtar, she said she was very disappointed to hear his opinion. She reminded him that when he visited Pakistan, people treated him with great respect and honor. He was warmly welcomed, and people showed him a lot of love. Then, during an event in Pakistan, he made negative remarks about the country, and afterward, he left and returned to India.
The actress further said that now Javed Akhtar is showing his true face and proving how cold-hearted and narrow-minded he is.
She said that Pakistani people have big hearts. They never banned Indian actors, but it is India that banned Pakistani actors.
Mishi Khan added that even Pakistani actors’ Instagram accounts have been blocked in India. So, in this situation, Javed Akhtar should feel ashamed for making such a statement.
She also said that now we realize how low some people can go.
Mishi said she was very disappointed because a well-educated person like Javed Akhtar should talk about peace. Poets and writers are supposed to have soft hearts.
She also said that Pakistanis are not even interested in working in India. So, banning them makes no difference. In Pakistan, their work is going very well, and even Indian audiences love to watch Pakistani dramas like crazy.
Actress Mansha Pasha also reacted to Javed Akhtar’s statement on her Instagram story. She said his words reminded her of the time he visited Pakistan. Videos were going viral on social media showing people sitting at his feet during a party.
She added that after all that respect, Javed Akhtar still gave insulting statements about Pakistan.
Mansha wrote that honestly, the real fault is ours. We need to take care of our self-respect.
It is also important to mention that after the April 22 attack on tourists in the Pahalgam area of Indian-occupied Kashmir, the Indian government used it as a reason to ban Pakistani news and entertainment channels on YouTube.
Observers said the ban was likely because these channels were giving a strong, balanced, and truthful point of view that the Indian government did not want people to hear.
