Famous dancer, social activist, and women’s rights supporter Sheema Kermani shared her thoughts about the Pakistani drama industry. She said that today’s dramas show stories far from real life, which cause worry and misunderstandings in society.

In a recent interview, Sheema said that Pakistani dramas mostly focus on one topic: husbands being unfaithful and second marriages, which is very far from reality.

She explained that not every man wants a second marriage, and not every mother-in-law plays a negative role. This is a false and harmful idea that keeps spreading.

She also said that men’s behavior is getting worse over time because of what they watch and hear since childhood. The harsh male dominance shown on TV and in society has affected the new generation. Today’s men are more strict and selfish than before.

Sheema said that the media should take responsibility and promote content that helps improve society, not damage it.

She added that drama is a powerful tool and should be used to show positive reflections of society.
