Shefali Jariwala’s unfulfilled wish
Bollywood’s Kaanta Laga fame Shefali Jariwala passed away suddenly on the night of June 27. The exact reason for her death is still not known.
In early reports, Indian media said that Shefali may have suffered a heart attack. However, on June 28, Mumbai Police told the media that her body had been sent to Cooper Hospital for a post-mortem, and the real cause of death is still being investigated.
After her death, a video of Shefali Jariwala started going viral on social media. In this video, one of her long-time wishes has caught the attention of her fans.
Known as the Kaanta Laga girl, Shefali had once shared in an interview that she wanted to adopt a child along with her husband Parag Tyagi.
In an old interview, Shefali Jariwala shared with her fans that she wanted to adopt a child, but her husband Parag did not understand this feeling for a long time.
She said that this wish was in her heart for many years, and because it was a big decision, it was important for both of them to agree on it.
Shefali explained that after she stayed in the Bigg Boss 13 house, Parag started thinking about building a family, and his family also had no objection to it.
She said that she feels her life is nothing less than a fairy tale. She came from a very middle-class background, and after Kaanta Laga, her life changed completely. She added that she is thankful and feels comfortable with where she is in life today.
While talking about adopting a child, Shefali Jariwala called it a brave decision. She said that people often ask why someone does not have their own child, and they think adoption is only for those who cannot have children. But she and Parag did not think that way.
Shefali shared that even though she was able to have a child, she still wanted to adopt one because she found the idea very beautiful. She said she first learned about adoption when she was 10 or 12 years old, and from that time, she kept this thought in her heart.
She also explained that adopting a child involves many legal steps, paperwork, and counseling. The process was already long and difficult, and the COVID lockdown made it even harder.
Shefali said that she wanted to adopt a baby girl because boys usually get adopted more easily. She felt that the bond between a daughter and her parents is very special, just like the loving bond she had with her own mother and father. That is why she said she wanted to bring home her Lakshmi. Still, she believed that whether it’s a boy or a girl, the child will find their own way to her home and heart.
It is also important to note that Shefali Jariwala was first married to musician Harmeet Singh of Meet Bros from 2004 to 2009. Later, in 2014, she married actor Parag Tyagi.
