Tabish Hashmi recently made an appearance on Hafiz Ahmed’s show. In the episode, he discussed the viral joke controversy. Talking about the majority of it, he stated, “An uncomfortable occasion recently occurred when a joke with Mariyam Nafees became viral. Mariyam Nafees is a very good friend. We have a terrific camaraderie. We’re those kind of bad people. Also, her spouse is a close friend of mine. However, I believe that some things should stay personal. I should have stopped myself from making such a joke. I also asked Mariyam Nafees about it, but she stopped me and said, ‘I am relaxed about it; you don’t have to clarify anything’.
Talking about trolling Mariyam Nafees unduly in live concerts, Tabish Hashmi said, “Mariyam Nafees is a very close friend of mine; she has given me the right to troll, and she trolls me a lot, but I take advantage of being a spontaneous comedian.”
