Actress Tabu recently opened up about the difficulties of working for women in Bollywood and the effects of age in the industry.
The 54-year-old actress, who is known for her strong acting, said in an interview that in Bollywood, more emphasis is placed on an actress’s age than her talent.
Tabu said that people think about your age more than you think. They want to hold a mirror in front of you, like you don’t have a mirror at home. Age does not grow in a day, it is a daily experience.
She also said that most women in the industry are advised to adopt communication skills or diplomacy.
The actress said that she is often told that if you don’t want to be a part of a film, don’t tell the real reason, just make excuses for the dates, but I don’t do that, if I don’t like the story, I don’t like it, and that’s what I’m saying.
Tabu’s latest film ‘Bhoot Bangla’ has been released and he is now gearing up to shoot for Najangrajna Akkineni’s 100th film ‘King100’.
The story of this film reflects the struggle of women in Bollywood and the strict standards for them.
