Sunita Marshall is one of the well-known actresses in Pakistan who started her career in showbiz through modeling and later proved herself as a successful actress.
She entered the modeling world when she was only a first-year college student. It was her aunt, a makeup artist, who introduced her to the industry.
Sunita became truly famous after appearing in Abrar-ul-Haq’s music video Preeto and Shehzad Roy’s song Janan.
In the modeling world, she was considered one of the top choices of photographers and brands. Her journey to becoming a supermodel was quite surprising and inspiring.
Recently, Sunita appeared on Frieha Altaf’s podcast and openly talked about the difficulties her family faced before she started modeling.
Sunita shared that her father returned to Pakistan after earning money in Dubai and invested in a bubble gum factory. The business ran well, and their financial situation was good. But later, things changed, and the factory had to shut down.
She said that after the factory closed, her father didn’t have any money, so he found an investor and started the bubble gum factory again. But that investor also ran away, and after that, the family was left with nothing.
According to Sunita, that time was very hard for their family, and she was studying in class 10 then.
She said when the second factory closed, both her brothers, her sister, and she herself started working.
Sunita revealed that her first job was at the airport in a duty-free shop where she worked as a salesgirl.
She said that during this job, she also got modeling work, but she didn’t leave the job and continued her studies as well.
She added that her job had morning and evening shifts. Sometimes modeling shoots would continue all night, so there were times when she couldn’t sleep for two days.
Sunita said that when she got into modeling, it brought some relief to her family. But she did not leave her salesgirl job until she was sure she could earn good money through modeling. After earning a decent amount, she finally quit her job.
In an earlier interview, Sunita shared that her modeling portfolio was made when she was in first year of college, and it all happened suddenly.
She said that her sister was called for a photo shoot, but she was busy and couldn’t go, so Sunita was sent instead. Her pictures turned out really good, and then one modeling job after another started coming her way.
