Famous Indian reality show Bigg Boss 17 winner and comedian Munawar Faruqui surprised his fans last year by suddenly marrying makeup artist Mehzabeen Kotwal.
Munawar Faruqui usually keeps his personal life private. But in a vlog with well-known Indian choreographer and filmmaker Farah Khan, he revealed the name of the person who became the reason for his second marriage.
During his visit to Farah Khan’s house, Munawar had a light and fun conversation with her. They talked about his personal life, professional life, and Bigg Boss. However, the part where he spoke about his second marriage became the most popular among fans.
In the video, Farah Khan was surprised at how Munawar Faruqui kept his personal life so secret. She said that she has never seen someone like Munawar who got married so suddenly and did not let anyone find out.
Replying to Farah, Munawar said that he met the person he married just one month before the wedding. When he went to Bigg Boss, he did not even know her, so he didn’t talk about it during the show.
Munawar added that when he came out of Bigg Boss, he got busy with work. At that time, his son Mikael was living with his sister. But when Munawar returned home, Mikael stayed with him for a week and they spent a lot of time together.
He shared that when Mikael was going back to his sister’s house, he felt that his son should stay with him because he needed him. Munawar said Mikael used to hug him all the time and did not want to leave him.
That’s when Munawar thought about what he could do to keep Mikael with him. So he decided to get married. He said he thought about it the whole night and felt that Mikael should live with him. He prayed for this and stayed strong in his decision.
The next day, Munawar asked Mehzabeen if she was ready to marry him. She also has a ten-year-old daughter, and their situations were very similar. After hearing his proposal, Mehzabeen said yes, and they got married.
It is important to know that Munawar Faruqui was first married in 2017, and he has one son from that marriage. In 2020, he separated from his first wife due to unknown reasons.
Munawar’s second wife, Mehzabeen Kotwal, is also a mother of one daughter from her first marriage. She is a makeup artist who has worked with many Bollywood stars like R Madhavan, Varun Dhawan, and others.
Mehzabeen not only does makeup for celebrities but also teaches her skills by giving makeup classes.
