In a recent podcast, he explained how the entire action scenario played out.
Zaviyar said that Nauman Ijaz beat him in those situations, and the slaps in Sang e Mah were real. Narrating the story, he stated that his father informed him in one scenario that he would beat him for real, and that he needed to stop his hand for the moment. Zaviyar first felt uneasy and unable to stop his father’s hand, but he did it in the second take.
Later, he was slapped again in another scene, and his father genuinely beat him, so the moment appears natural, and the tears in his eyes in one of the shots are genuine since he had just been slapped and kicked by Nauman Ijaz.
