A few days ago, users expressed their anger over the viral videos of a 60-year-old man marrying a young girl on social media, saying that making such absurd videos at this age is befitting of a senior citizen.

For the past three days, a video of the wedding of a 60-year-old man from Rawalpindi who married a young girl has been trending in Pakistan.

Initially, social media users made negative comments, with some criticizing the senior citizen, while others said that the young girl had ruined her life just because of money.

However, yesterday, 60-year-old Hakim, while telling the story of marrying a young girl, called it a ‘love marriage’.

The elderly citizen said that first we fell in love and then we got married, which is a Sunnah method. In fact, we have both an arranged marriage and a love marriage. My wife fell in love, so later we had an arranged marriage.

The viral elder said that the heart should be young, what is the age, she was divorced and it was the command of Allah and the Sunnah of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) which I followed, so what did I do wrong in it?

He said that I have not committed any adultery, so why are people making negative comments about it, in fact, negative things are said by those who have had girlfriends and have had illicit relationships till date and do not want to get married, but rather deceive girls.

His wife said that when a person loves from the heart, then age is not seen in it and when the heart likes a person, then there should be no delay in getting married.

Later, social media users described the elderly citizen’s move as positive, saying that the wise man got married instead of getting married, so instead of making adultery public, marriage should be made easy.
