Abdullah Sultan On Punjabis Being Embarrassed Of Their Language

Abdullah Sultan is a well-known host and anchor in Pakistani news media. He has been effectively hosting a morning show on Geo News for the past few years, and his shows cover a variety of themes. He is also a father of two children and spoke on Masarrat Misbanh’s show, where he discussed his parenting approach and the significance of developing critical thinking skills in children.

Abdullah grew up in Lahore and has seen the culture of Punjab. He discussed how Punjabis do not own their language, and Punjabi parents discourage their children from speaking in their native language. Abdullah stated that Pakhtoon children speak Pashto, however, Sindhi children speak Sindhi with pride and are never embarrassed about their mother tongue.

He stated that Punjabis should own their language because it produces the most beautiful poetry and music and that children should be encouraged to learn and communicate in their native language.
