Pakistani actress and model Humaira Asghar’s tragic death has deeply saddened senior actor Firdous Jamal as well.
On July 8, Humaira Asghar Ali was finally given a proper burial after being found dead in a flat in Karachi, where she had passed away in complete loneliness.
Her decayed body was discovered when the court sent a bailiff to vacate the flat due to legal action by the landlord. When the door was broken, her body was found lying on the floor, surrounded by insects. Her body was in such a bad state that the skin had decayed, her face was unrecognizable, and while moving the body, one hand even got detached.
At first, it was believed that she had died a month ago, but later it was revealed that she had actually passed away 9 to 10 months earlier.
After this, family disputes and the investigation of the case brought new shocking details that gave a new twist to the story.
Despite all the shocking details, both the public and people from the showbiz industry expressed deep sorrow over her death. A video of senior actor Firdous Jamal is now going viral on social media, where he is seen very emotional while speaking about Humaira’s death.
Firdous Jamal, who has played memorable roles in dramas like Pyare Afzal, Khuda Aur Mohabbat, Waris, Manchalay Ka Sauda, Dehleez, Dhoop Deewar, Takmeel, Kaanch Ke Paar, Ana, and Nasheeb, recently gave an interview in which he shared his thoughts on Humaira’s sad and painful death.
He called it an unforgettable tragedy. He said that everyone who is born must leave this world one day, so we usually don’t call death a tragedy. But when a death is so painful, the heart cries tears of blood.
He said everyone has to die, only Allah remains. The body is temporary, and humans must go back. This is a natural process. But a death like this is heartbreaking. Dying in loneliness is very painful.
Quoting a verse, he said: ajeeb manoos ajnabi tha, mujhe to hairan kar gaya wo, suna hai kal raat mar gaya wo (meaning: he was a strange but familiar stranger, he shocked me… I heard he died last night). He then said that society’s selfishness and insensitivity were responsible for Humaira’s death. Maybe she was not getting work.
Firdous Jamal added that we must first look within ourselves. We must take care of ourselves. We should be aware of our presence and the purpose of life, because until we understand ourselves, we can never truly understand others.
