Senior Pakistani actress and host Mishi Khan has reacted to the interview of late actress and model Humaira Asghar’s parents.
In a video shared on social media, Mishi Khan criticized the interview. She said the attitude of Humaira’s parents during the interview seemed unserious and disappointing.
According to Mishi, the police are facing problems in the investigation because Humaira’s family is not cooperating. She said it is important to find out the real reasons behind Humaira’s death, but the family does not seem serious about it.
She also criticized the host of the interview and said the host did not give Humaira’s parents a proper chance to speak clearly.
Mishi Khan also questioned the parents’ statement in the interview. She asked that if they had no problem with their daughter working in showbiz, then why did they not check on her for ten months. She also wondered why they didn’t try to find her if she didn’t contact them during that time.
Mishi said that if the parents didn’t know where Humaira was living, they could have contacted the police. But maybe they stayed silent out of fear of social shame. However, she added that now people are still talking even after Humaira’s death.
Mishi expressed sorrow and said that Humaira’s parents should have shown more responsibility and seriousness for their daughter.
It should be noted that actress and model Humaira Asghar, who was from Lahore, was found dead in a flat in the Defence area of Karachi on 8 July. According to the postmortem, she had actually died in October 2024. Her body was in the final stages of decomposition, but the exact cause of her death is still unknown.
