Renowned Pakistani actress Shagufta Ijaz denied using the type 2 diabetes drug Ozempic to lose weight. When the anchor asked the actress about losing weight again on a private TV show, Shagufta Ijaz replied, “I am surprised at how many of our people are so naive that they believe in lies.”
She said that she has never used Ozempic and I will soon take legal action against those who have claimed that I lost weight by taking the drug.
Shagufta Ijaz said, “Our religion, Islam, forbids us from assuming anything, but people thought about me and believed that I used Ozempic to lose weight.”
She said, “If I talk about myself, I don’t have enough time to point a finger at someone else’s life, while now it has become fashionable that we interfere in other people’s lives and then ask questions, while this is not allowed in religion.”
Shagufta Ijaz said that people are posting my pictures and spreading them and I am not only unhappy about this but also very angry. She said that she has achieved success in this journey only after a long struggle and it was not easy for me at all.
She said that not only me but also my younger daughters have had a difficult time in this regard.
