Bollywood’s famous actress Tabu has made an important revelation related to her personal life and told why she never used her father’s surname.
Speaking in an interview, Tabu said that her parents separated when she was only three years old, after which she was raised by her mother and maternal grandmother in Hyderabad. According to the actress, she does not remember the time spent with her father, which is why her father’s name or surname never mattered to her.
Tabu said that even during her school days, her name was only recorded as Tabu or Fatima and she never felt that it was necessary to use her father’s surname. The actress clarified that she does not hold any bitterness or suspicion on the matter, but it was a natural decision in her life.
The actress further said that due to being raised in an environment of strong women, she has an independent mind and has always been used to making her own decisions.
