Bollywood’s King Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, has won the National Film Award for his role in the movie Jawan. This is a major milestone in his successful career.

According to Indian media, the 71st National Film Awards were announced in India. After more than 30 years in the film industry, Shah Rukh Khan finally received his first National Award for Best Actor for his powerful performance in Jawan. This is an emotional and long-awaited achievement for one of India’s biggest stars.

After a 33-year-long career, he is finally bringing home his first National Film Award. This award was due for a long time because even with many brilliant performances, he was often overlooked.

Shah Rukh Khan, also known as the King of Bollywood, began his career in 1992 with the film Deewana. He quickly became one of the most popular and successful actors in India.

Despite acting in many hit and critically praised movies like Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, Swades, Chak De India, and My Name is Khan, he had never received this top Indian award before.

In the 2004 movie Swades, Shah Rukh played the role of Mohan Bhargav. Then in 2007, he played Kabir Khan in Chak De India. In 2010, he impressed the audience with his performance as Rizwan Khan in My Name is Khan. The character had Asperger’s Syndrome and lived in a post-9/11 world.

This role gave him international praise and many global awards. However, the National Film Award for Best Actor at that time was given to Amitabh Bachchan for his role in the movie Paa, where he played a child suffering from Progeria.

It took Shah Rukh many years to win the National Award, but this win confirms what his fans have always believed — that he is not only a favorite superstar but also one of the finest actors in Indian cinema history.

Other honors for Shah Rukh
Besides winning the National Film Award, Shah Rukh Khan has also been recognized globally for his contributions to cinema.

He holds India’s Padma Shri award and two of France’s top civilian honors — the Ordre des Arts et des Lettres and the Legion of Honour.
