However, many social media users did not like Ahsan Khan meeting Javed Akhtar or his speech about peace and forgetting differences.

They said that although the message of peace is good, it is also important to notice who the message is being delivered to.

Social media users reminded others of Javed Akhtar’s past statements and accusations against Pakistan. They said it would have been better if the message of peace had come from someone like Javed Akhtar himself, who has spread hate in the past.

Some users said that Ahsan Khan should not have met Javed Akhtar at all. And if he had to attend the event for some reason, he should have given a strong response instead.

However, a few people appreciated what Ahsan Khan said during the event. They said that by talking about peace in front of a so-called intellectual who promotes hate and conflict, he gave a clear message about where the aggression truly comes from.
