American woman travels from Chicago to Dir to marry Pakistani youth
Love stories across borders are becoming more common in Pakistan. Recently, an American woman travelled all the way from Chicago to Upper Dir in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to marry a local Pakistani man.
This is not the first time something like this has happened. Many foreign women have previously come to Pakistan to marry local men after falling in love, showing that love knows no borders.
Local police confirmed that the American woman, Mandy, who is from Chicago and works as a flight attendant, arrived in Pakistan to marry Sajid Zaib Khan, a resident of Dir.
Sajid shared that their connection started two years ago through Facebook. They continued talking regularly, and over time, their relationship grew stronger. Eventually, Mandy proposed marriage, and Sajid happily accepted. Both families also gave their approval.
Mandy arrived at Islamabad Airport on Sunday, where Sajid welcomed her warmly and gave her a bouquet. They then travelled to Sajid’s hometown, Ashriya Dara Sadiqa Banda, where local people welcomed them with great excitement.
Sajid said that the wedding will be held according to Islamic teachings and local traditions. Mandy also shared a video message from Sajid’s home, where she said it was her first visit to Pakistan and she finds the country beautiful and peaceful.
