An India-based gang in Canada has claimed responsibility for killing famous Punjabi singer Teji Kahlon. Members of the Indian-origin gang led by Rohit Godara released a video on social media and openly admitted that they targeted and killed the singer.
According to Indian media reports three gang members named Vicky Pehlwan Mahinder Saran and Rahul Rinaw accepted the murder in an online message. They also gave a warning saying if he has understood it is fine otherwise next time we will finish him too. Their words show that they may have more targets.
The gang also challenged businessmen builders and others who help rival gangsters. They clearly said that such people and their families will not be spared.
Sources say the reason for the murder is that Teji Kahlon was accused of giving money weapons and secret information to rival groups of Rohit Godara’s gang.
This incident has raised serious questions at the international level about the connection between the Punjabi music industry and illegal gangs.
