Pakistani singer Asim Azhar caught everyone’s attention after he liked the trailer of his ex-girlfriend and superstar Hania Aamir’s Indian Punjabi film Sardaar Ji 3.
Hania Aamir has more than 18 million followers on Instagram, making her the most-followed Pakistani celebrity on the platform. She recently impressed everyone with her strong performance in the ARY Digital drama Kabhie Main Kabhie Tum. Some of her other popular dramas include Dilruba, Titli, Mere Humsafar, Ishqiya, Sang-e-Mah, and Mujhe Pyaar Hua Tha.
It wouldn’t be wrong to say that nothing can stop Hania Aamir’s success. She is the first Pakistani actress whose Indian film moved forward despite the tense situation between Pakistan and India.
Back in February this year, a picture of Hania Aamir with the cast of Diljit Dosanjh’s film Sardaar Ji went viral, sparking rumours that she had joined the film. Hania did not announce the film openly but kept sharing mini vlogs on Instagram during the shoot, without including any clips with the cast.
In May, relations between India and Pakistan became tense again, and rumours spread that Hania was removed from the film. But on the night of 22 June, the official trailer of Sardaar Ji 3 was released. It not only confirmed Hania’s presence but showed that she played an important supporting role, appearing throughout the trailer, not just as a guest.
Fans of Hania Aamir and several Pakistani celebrities were happy and congratulated her on social media after the trailer’s release.
Among all the likes on the trailer, one like stood out the most — Asim Azhar’s. He liked the trailer that was posted on Diljit Dosanjh’s official Instagram account.
This one like created a buzz on social media. People were divided into two groups. Some fans, who had supported Asim during his breakup with Hania, criticized him for liking her movie trailer. Others were excited and hoped that maybe the two stars would get back together.
As a reminder, Asim Azhar and Hania Aamir’s love story began in 2018. In 2019, they made their relationship public, but in 2020, they broke up. Their story felt like a movie itself. Now, Asim’s simple like on the trailer is being seen by many as a sign that he still has feelings for Hania.
