Indian comedian Munawar Faruqui, who won the popular reality show Bigg Boss Season 17, recently faced criticism for expressing a wish to be compared to superstar Shah Rukh Khan.

Munawar, who has been part of hit reality shows like Lock Upp and Bigg Boss, is also known as a rapper and social media influencer in India. Lately, he has been in the headlines because of news related to his marriage.

There are also rumors that Munawar will soon make his OTT debut with a show called First Copy, but this news has not been confirmed yet.

Earlier, Munawar was in the spotlight when he casually said that he would feel happy if someone compared him with Shah Rukh Khan. However, this small wish became a reason for people on social media to troll him.

Usually, actors and celebrities admire Shah Rukh Khan and say they would love to work with him. Just like that, Munawar also expressed a similar wish.

But when he said that being compared to Shah Rukh Khan would make him feel proud, many social media users reacted negatively. He received strong criticism and trolling online.

During a special chat with Bollywood Bubble, Munawar said that he has no problem if people compare him with anyone, but if the comparison is with Shah Rukh Khan, he would be really happy.

Although his wish seemed harmless, social media users did not like it and started criticizing him. One user commented that even if Munawar is okay with the comparison, Shah Rukh Khan might not be.

Another person said that if Munawar thinks he is Shah Rukh’s first copy, he needs to get his eyes checked.

It is important to mention that Munawar Faruqui is a big fan of Shah Rukh Khan and respects him a lot. In a past interview, Munawar said that he respects Shah Rukh so much that he wouldn’t even dare to joke about him.

He also shared that he is one of Shah Rukh Khan’s biggest fans.

Munawar got married for the first time in 2017 and had a son. In 2020, he separated from his first wife for personal reasons. His second wife, Mahjbeen Kottwala, is a makeup artist and also a mother to a daughter from her previous marriage. She has worked with many Bollywood stars like R. Madhavan and Varun Dhawan.

Mahjabeen not only does makeup for celebrities but also teaches this skill by holding professional classes.
