Bushra Ansari and her sister Asma Abbas recently appeared on Samaa TV’s Punjabi podcast, where they openly discussed various topics.

During the program, she talked about wearing a saree that once belonged to the legendary singer Noor Jehan. She said she requested Noor Jehan’s daughters to give her one of their mother’s sarees, and they gave her two. One of them had some dirt on it, which Bushra kept safely packed in plastic.

She mentioned that she had worn one of Noor Jehan’s sarees before and received many compliments for it. At that time, a fan who was also her friend told her it was nice she wore Noor Jehan’s saree but wondered why she never wore one belonging to Lata Mangeshkar.

Bushra replied that she would be happy if someone gave her a saree of Lata Mangeshkar. Smiling, she added that she would even wear one that Lata’s family had used to clean the floor.

She said that later Lata Mangeshkar sadly passed away, and she told her fan friend that she would also love to have one of Amitabh Bachchan’s socks — not even a pair, just a single one.

The actress said that when she expressed her wish to have one of Amitabh Bachchan’s socks, her fan friend laughed.

Bushra Ansari’s remarks about Lata Mangeshkar’s saree and Amitabh Bachchan’s socks drew criticism from social media users, who accused her of seeking attention and cheap publicity.

Most people commented that she herself is a legendary actress and should avoid making such trivial statements.
