Famous Indian comedian Kapil Sharma had joked some time ago that Archana only gets paid to laugh on his show, and Archana recently responded to this.
Archana Puran Singh has a very close and friendly relationship with Kapil Sharma. She has been with him since his early days when Kapil started as a rising comedian in Comedy Circus and never looked back.
Over time, from Comedy Nights with Kapil to now Netflix’s The Great Indian Kapil Show, their chemistry on screen has grown even stronger.
Once, Kapil laughed during a segment of his show and said that Archana only gets paid to laugh.
At first, some viewers did not like this, but now it has become a regular joke between them.
Archana recently talked about this in her popular YouTube vlog.
She said Kapil jokes about everything, but people take him seriously. She does not because she knows the rule of the game is to make a joke, laugh, and move on.
Archana added that she does not even know what her exact role is on Kapil’s show because she just sits there as a celebrity guest and enjoys the program.
She remembered the days of Comedy Circus when she used to judge new artists.
She said she used to get paid to judge comedy shows like Comedy Circus. Now, she is invited to Kapil’s show not as a judge but as a celebrity guest.
Archana further said she does not know what her role exactly is because Kapil keeps joking. She asked how she could be getting paid only to laugh? In a way, she gets paid to enjoy the show, and because her laughter is loud and natural, it seems like she is paid just for laughing.
