Nawazuddin Siddiqui revealed the bitter truths of Bollywood
Bollywood’s versatile actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui shared some bitter truths about the industry on his 51st birthday. His journey in films is truly inspiring. From playing small roles to becoming a powerful presence on the big screen, Nawazuddin proved himself not just as an actor but as a true artist.
His performances in projects like Gangs of Wasseypur, Manto, The Lunchbox, and the web series Sacred Games impressed both critics and the audience.
No real friends in Bollywood
In his latest interview, Nawazuddin strongly criticized the fake friendships in Bollywood.
He said that everything changes with time in this industry. Someone is with you today, someone else will be tomorrow. Everything is based on benefit and need. The real friendships in his life are not from the industry but from his earlier days.
He added that most relationships in the film world are based on personal gain. They are not based on honesty or loyalty.
He explained that this happens because many actors feel insecure. That’s why there are no strong friendships or loyalty. There is a small separate group, and there is no unity in the industry.
Big roles without experience
Nawazuddin also raised concerns about the growing trend of casting untrained actors.
He said that even actors who cannot be trusted with proper acting are somehow made to act. This happens only in our industry. In other places, only trained and professional actors are given a chance.
He clearly said that acting is an art, and it needs proper training and seriousness. But sadly, in Bollywood, looks are often more important than talent.
Even though Nawazuddin pointed out these serious problems, he is still committed to working on projects that tell powerful stories.
Recently, he appeared in the film Coastguard, a crime drama based on the real life of a Goa customs officer, Costa Fernandes, from the 1990s.
In the film, Nawazuddin played an honest and brave officer who sacrifices everything to stop gold smuggling.
Currently, he is busy in Lucknow shooting for the sequel of Raat Akeli Hai. He will once again play Inspector Jatil Yadav, a character that won hearts in the first film.
