Famous TV host Waseem Badami expressed disappointment over the reaction of some Pakistani artists to the incident that happened in Pahalgam, a part of occupied Kashmir.

While speaking in a private podcast, Waseem Badami said that Islam teaches us to feel sad and speak out when an innocent life is lost. As Muslims, we feel pain for any loss of life anywhere in the world.

However, he explained that the Pahalgam incident was different from others because the blame was directly put on Pakistan. But Pakistan clearly said it was a false flag operation, meaning a fake action to blame someone else.

According to Waseem Badami, the artists who showed sympathy over the incident should have also said that the blame on Pakistan must be properly investigated, and no one should accept such serious accusations without proof.

He said showing sympathy is an emotional act, but having a complete point of view is more important. He was disappointed that some artists did not question India and only expressed one-sided regret, which gives an incomplete message.

Waseem Badami also said that his aim was not to question anyone’s patriotism, but to remind that in such sensitive matters, it is important to support the country’s stance.

He shared an example where an Indian showbiz personality forced a Pakistani artist to condemn the Pahalgam incident. The Pakistani artist replied that he would do so only if India admitted that the blame on Pakistan was false.

During the program, Waseem Badami also praised those artists who supported the national stance. These included Fahad Mustafa, Humayun Saeed, Imran Ashraf, Behroze Sabzwari, Javed Sheikh, Shahroz Sabzwari, and Amar Khan.
