Famous Pakistani singer Faisal Kapadia has revealed that senior Indian actress Dimple Kapadia is his close relative which also makes Twinkle Khanna related to him.
In a recent interview with a UAE FM radio YouTube channel Faisal Kapadia shared that Dimple Kapadia’s father Chunnibhai Kapadia was his cousin.
He said that he started singing at a young age on Pakistan Television and his relatives in India used to say that he would soon sing in Bollywood.
Faisal shared that in 1984 Chunnibhai Kapadia came to Karachi to attend a cousin’s wedding where he heard Faisal sing and told him that he would get him a chance to sing in Bollywood.
He said that Chunnibhai liked his singing and promised to help him get work in Indian films. However Chunnibhai passed away later but after his death Faisal got a chance to sing in Bollywood. In 2006 he sang the song Yeh Hai Meri Kahani for the film Zinda and later sang other songs too.
Faisal added that before singing for Bollywood he had already performed internationally and his voice was also featured in the Spider-Man soundtrack.
When asked about his relation to Dimple Kapadia he explained that she is his niece since her father Chunnibhai Kapadia was his cousin.
Dimple Kapadia herself is a famous Bollywood actress who was married to legendary actor Rajesh Khanna and is the mother of actress Twinkle Khanna.
Because of this relation Twinkle Khanna is considered Faisal Kapadia’s grandniece and her husband Akshay Kumar would be his grandnephew-in-law.
