Senior Indian actor Achyut Potdar has passed away at the age of 91. The exact cause of his death has not been confirmed but reports suggest it was due to age related complications.
Potdar started his showbiz career at the age of 44 and worked in almost 125 films along with more than 100 TV serials.
His role in Aamir Khan’s blockbuster film Three Idiots is especially remembered where he played a professor and delivered the iconic line kehna kya chahte ho which became very popular and later turned into memes.
Before joining showbiz Potdar served as a captain in the Indian Army then worked for about 25 years at Indian Oil and also taught as a professor in Rewa Madhya Pradesh.
His funeral will be held on 19 August 2025 in Thane.
