Former popular actress Faryal Gauhar has said that before marriage she used to wear Western-style clothes and usually miniskirts, but after marriage she also wore a burqa.
Faryal Gauhar recently participated in Nida Yasir’s morning show, where she openly discussed her personal life.
During the program, she said that her mother was born in the current Indian state of Gujarat, but her ancestors had migrated to South Africa before 1910 and her mother grew up there, later moving to Britain.
According to her, her father was in the army and after the creation of Pakistan, his father was posted in the Pakistani embassy in Britain, where he met her mother and the two got married.
She said that her mother also used to wear bold clothes due to living in Western countries and civilizations, which is why she also wore bold, short and Western-style clothes at a young age.
Faryal Gauhar said that her father had kidney disease, due to which he also left the army and died at a young age.
The actress said that during the 1965 Indo-Pak war, her father’s property in Punjab was burned and damaged by the enemy army, after which her mother worked hard to raise her.
She said that even after her father’s death, she had a magnificent 35-kanal house in Lahore Cantt and during her student days, when she was 17 years old, she was offered a short role on Pakistan Television (PTV) and only her hand was shown on the screen.
According to the actress, she was later offered more work and initially she did hand modeling, later she started working in dramas and it was there that she met actor Jamal Shah, whom she married.
In response to a question, Faryal Gauhar said that she fell in love with Jamal Shah’s dimples and married him. She even wore a burqa in love with him.
According to Faryal Gauhar, Jamal Shah’s family was narrow-minded. Earlier, she used to wear miniskirts. After falling in love, she also wore a burqa. Her in-laws expressed their strong displeasure when she started acting after marriage.
She praised her ex-husband Jamal Shah and said that he was not only a handsome man but also a hobbyist.
While talking vaguely about the reasons for the divorce, she said that the reason for the marriage ending was not only Jamal Shah’s laziness, there were many other reasons as well, but she did not mention the reasons.
